The RiffTrax crew -- Michael J. Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett, the trio that brought you Mystery Science Theater 3000 -- will skewer Sharknado, Syfy's July 11, 2013, made-for-TV movie about mega-cyclones sucking up sharks from the sea and hurling them onto land, for the "RiffTrax Live: Sharknado" cinecast at 7 p.m. today. It'll take place live at the State Theater in Minneapolis and show on the screens of the Breckenridge Village 12 in Little Rock, the Tinseltown in Benton and the Conway Towne Cinema in Conway with a repeat-on-tape at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Breckenridge 12. The North Little Rock Community Concert Band will present its final 2014 outdoor concert at 7 p.m. Friday at the Lakewood Village Amphitheater, off McCain Boulevard between North Hills Boulevard and U.S. 67/167, North Little Rock. Rico Belotti will conduct a program titled "Hot Fun in the Summertime," with a program that includes John Philip Sousa's Transit of Venus March; Antonin's New World, an arrangement by Dizzy Stratford of tunes from Antonin Dvorak's New World" Symphony; "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Miserables featuring Dick Miller on solo euphonium; and a salute to the late Dick Clark titled "Rock, Roll and Remember." Resident craftsmen at Ozark Folk Center State Park, 1032 Park Ave., Mountain View, will show off and discuss their functional and decorative handmade items for visitors during "Handcrafted Evening in the Park," 7-10 p.m. Friday. A special free program about contemporary Ozark crafts and their creation begins at 6 p.m. in the White Oak Auditorium in the park's Administration Building.
