A 34-year-old Mulberry man was fatally struck by a car early Thursday as he sat in the road after his own vehicle was involved in a wreck, authorities said.
Arkansas State Police say Karl Brandon Kasprytzki had been involved in a rollover crash on Pointer Trail in Van Buren and was sitting in the eastbound lane of a two-lane bridge west of his vehicle about 5:45 a.m.
Kasprytzki was then hit by an eastbound Nissan Maxima, according to an accident report. He died at the scene.
The death and three others Thursday raised to 221 the number of people killed in traffic crashes in Arkansas so far this year, according to preliminary figures.
