Paragould man killed in fall at grain bin

BLACK OAK — Authorities say a Paragould man was killed after he fell into an empty grain bin near Black Oak.

Police say 54-year-old Garth Johns was working with two other men to repair storm damage to the grain bin Thursday. According to The Jonesboro Sun, Johns had been working inside the bin to loosen nuts when he fell to the bottom.

A police report says emergency responders discovered Johns unresponsive on the floor of the grain bin. The report says responders were unable to resuscitate him.
