TEXARKANA, Ark. — An escapee from the Texarkana Regional Correctional Center in southwestern Arkansas is back in custody.

Arkansas Department of Correction spokeswoman Shea Wilson says 41-year-old Daniel Malin returned to his work site Sunday morning after disappearing from the site on Saturday.

Malin was reported missing from his job site at Cleve Batte Construction in Texarkana late Saturday night.

The department says Malin was serving time for drug-related convictions. The department's website also lists recent forgery and breaking and entering convictions for Malin.
