Brewski is the pet of the week. He is a 4- or 5-year-old mix, possibly Wheaten terrier, and stocky, weighing in around 44 pounds. He is very friendly and loving, as well as playful with other dogs. Brewski -- who is house trained, dog-door trained, crate trained and "sleep at the end of the bed" trained -- is a well-adjusted fella who wants his own family to love. He craves attention, so a home that includes pets in activities would be ideal.

Canine Close-Up

Weasy is a 1- or 2-year-old shih tzu mix. She is pretty calm and well behaved, though skittish at first but warms up and follows you wherever you go. She sleeps with her head on the pillow like a human and at times sits like a prairie dog. Weasy would love a good home with lots of love and attention (and peanut butter; she loves it). Kids may be a bit much for her, so homes without children would be best.

Pickles is a 1- or 2-year-old Yorkie mix. She is a happy girl and loves kids. Pickles loves attention and being loved on. She is a smart girl, too.

Rusty Red is a red dachshund mix that weighs under 20 pounds. He is about 5 to 7 years old. Rusty Red enjoys cuddling with you and sleeping under the covers at night. He does have spurts of energy for playing but is a rather calm fella.

Marley is a 8- or 9-month-old poodle and border collie mix. This black-and-white beauty is about 30 pounds and is full of energy. Marley enjoys playing with other dogs. An active home would be ideal for her.

Brewski and friends can be adopted through Helping Hands for Little Paws. More information is available at 501-888-2702 and http://www.helpinglittlepaws.com/.
