Reward boosted for information in Memphis killing

The Memphis Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a May homicide.

Police arrived at 2039 Janis Drive in Memphis about 4:15 p.m. May 21 after receiving a call in regard to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Patrick Grant, 36, with an apparent gunshot wound, Memphis Police Department Sgt. Karen Rudolph said in a statement. Grant was pronounced dead at the scene.

No one has been arrested in Grant’s death.

On Friday, Grant’s family offered a $1,000 reward in addition to the usual $1,000 given for Crime Stoppers tips that solve murder cases, the department said.
