Man arrested, twin brother sought in armed robbery of teens

A Jacksonville man was arrested early Monday in a robbery at knifepoint last month of a group of teens who were riding bicycles, authorities said.

Glen Dale Harrison Jr., 20, remained in the Pulaski County jail Tuesday on charges including three counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of third-degree battery and one count of third-degree assault.

The Jacksonville Police Department, meanwhile, was still looking for Harrison's twin brother, Gary Devon Harrison, who is also wanted in the June 21 crime, spokesman April Kiser said.

According to a police report, the three victims — ages 15, 15 and 17 — identified the Harrison brothers as the two men who approached them as the teens rode bikes that night on JP Wright Loop Road near Corbin Street.

The victims said the two robbers pushed them off their bicycles and then threatened to kill one of them if he didn't call for two others who were fleeing to return, the report said. One of the men reportedly wielded a knife.

The robbers made off with the teens' phones and money, the report said.

Glen Dale Harrison Jr., whose bail was set at $80,000, is due in court July 24.
