Arkansas Democrat-Gazette sports writer Bob Holt has gained attention as a "reluctant cult hero" for his curiosity and tenacity in covering the Razorbacks at SEC Media Days.

The Birmingham News posted a feature Wednesday that highlighted Holt's natural curiosity and tendency to ask questions repeatedly to get the answers he needs.

Holt, who has worked with the newspaper for 33 years and has been to 23 straight SEC Media Days, sometimes dominates pool interviews, the article notes.

“[Holt] produced seven of the 27 questions [former Arkansas State coach and current Auburn Coach Gus] Malzahn faced Monday despite the fact his colleague was writing the Auburn story,” writer Michael Casagrande noted.
