Saline County sheriff’s deputies responded Wednesday night to a call about an abandoned vehicle associated with a missing person, officials said.

Steven Roach, 24, of Lonoke County was reported missing by his family July 3. Roach was driving his father’s 1999 tan GMC Jimmy at the time, Lonoke County Sheriff John Stanley said.

The sport utility vehicle was found in a wooded area outside Lonoke County, near White Oak Pond Drive in Mabelvale, Saline County sheriff’s office spokesman Lt. Scottie Courtney said. Courtney said the SUV appeared stuck when they found it.

Stanley said Roch's whereabouts are still “up in the air,” but Roach’s family said he has a disability and the mental capacity of a 14-year-old.

Roach is 5-foot-7 and 186 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red Arkansas Razorbacks T-shirt and dark pants. He also has a scar on his left wrist.

Anyone with information regarding Roach is asked to call Lonoke County sheriff’s office at (501) 676-3000, or the Saline County sheriff’s office at (501) 303-5608.
