Arkansas 259 to undergo lane closures in St. Francis County

Work next week on Arkansas 259 in St. Francis County will require closing a bridge, state highway officials said Friday.

Crews will be replacing a bridge over a drainage ditch with a series of culverts and will divert traffic onto county roads as permitted by county judge, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said. The work will occur on the highway just south of Goodwin from Monday through Thursday, weather permitting, highway officials said.

Barrels, warning signs and detour signs will be used to alert drivers.
