Lane closures required next week on I-630

Lane closures will be required next week while crews perform work on Interstates 630 and 430 in west Little Rock as part of the ongoing interchange project.

From 9 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday, the westbound, inside lane of I-630 will be closed while crews place concrete for "an island between the retaining wall on the west side of the Shackleford Road overpass and the westbound lanes of Financial Center Parkway," according to a statement from the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department.

During the same time period Tuesday night through Friday morning, the eastbound, outside lane of I-630 will be closed between the I-430 northbound and southbound ramps while crews remove bridge overhangs and paint steel on the I-430 north to I-630 east bridge, the news release states.

Traffic will be controlled using cones and warning signs, and drivers are asked to be cautious when traveling through the area during those times.
