A man who led Little Rock police officers in a vehicle pursuit on Friday morning has been taken into custody.

Little Rock Police Lt. Sidney Allen said officers tried to initiate a traffic stop about 11:23 a.m. "for reasons unknown to me at this time." When the male driver refused to pull over, officers pursued him on east Interstate 30 before the man ultimately crashed his vehicle in the area of Frazier Pike and Jones Street. The man then fled on foot into a nearby wooded area, but officers found him a short time later.

The man, who wasn't identified, was taken into custody and purportedly has charges pending against him, but Allen said those charges haven't yet been released.
