NW Arkansas airport construction to cause delays

FAYETTEVILLE — Construction near the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport is expected to cause traffic delays.

Fayetteville television station KHOG reported that the north entrance to the airport out of Bentonville will be reduced to one lane starting at 7 a.m. Monday.

The construction is expected to add about 5 to 10 minutes to the drive from Bentonville to the airport. It is scheduled for completion on Aug. 25.

An airport administrator says the area is prone to flooding. Airport officials hope to make the road more reliable during heavy rains.
