The University of Central Arkansas has hired a new chief of staff.
Kelley Erstine, Chief Executive Officer of the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina, will serve as chief of staff for the university starting Sept. 1, the university said in a news release Thursday.
Erstine is a Sheridan native and graduated from UCA in 1979 with a journalism degree. He has served as a member of the university's board of trustees and served as Vice President for Institutional Advancement, according to the release.
His annual salary will be $165,000 with his new position.
