Man threatens girlfriend, shows up at house, is shocked with Taser, report says

A man called his girlfriend and threatened to kill her before showing up at a North Little Rock residence where she was staying and trying to gain entry, authorities said.

Gregory Stephen Hardin, 51, was arrested early Tuesday morning after police tased him in the yard, according to an arrest report.

North Little Rock police say the victim, Hardin's girlfriend of six months, reported about 2:20 a.m. that he had called her and threatened to kill her and her children.

"[The victim] then stated that Hardin the stated he was going to cut her throat and shoot her," the report said, noting the victim told investigators Hardin was "constantly jealous" of her.

Officers took a report and left but were called back to the home in the 1200 block of West 48th Street less than an hour later. Hardin had showed up and was "attempting to gain entry into the residence by pushing on windows," the report said.

Police met him in the yard, where he refused some officer commands, was "verbally aggressive" and "stepped toward officers in an aggressive manner," the report said.

He was shocked with a Taser before being arrested. Police say they recovered two baggies of methamphetamine and a pipe from his shorts.

Hardin remained in the Pulaski County jail Tuesday morning with bail not yet set. He faces charges including possession of a controlled substance, refusal to submit to arrest and second-degree terroristic threatening.
