Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel is interviewed after a meeting of the Claims Review Subcommittee of the Legislative Council in Little Rock on Tuesday, July 8, 2014.

LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel has rejected the wording of a proposal to legalize medical marijuana by a group that is trying to put the measure before voters in 2016.

McDaniel's office on Monday rejected the wording of the proposal by Arkansans for Compassionate Care, which had tried unsuccessfully to get medical marijuana legalization on this year's ballot. The group had been unable to gather the 62,507 signatures from registered voters needed by the July 7 deadline to submit petitions to qualify for the November ballot.

The group is now trying to put the legalization measure on the 2016 ballot. McDaniel cited ambiguities in the text of the latest measure in rejecting its wording.

The proposal would allow patients with qualifying conditions to buy marijuana from nonprofit dispensaries.

Why not use the one that was approved for 2014? McDaniel-you are a classless jerk and it'll be a great day when you are out of office.

Obviously they did not submit the proposal with the same wording or they would have a legitimate claim. So quick to judge people. Take a step back and think about it.

Why do we revert to pointless name calling. Is that the best we can do. I think we are better than that. A good debate or statement holds to the facts to make a point and let everyone decide for themselves.

The article doesn't SAY whether or not they submitted the approved 2014 text again (with modified dates, of course). If they didn't, they're stupid. If they did, then Dustin McDaniel has some 'splaining to do...

I always wonder if the hypocritical ,self serving McDaniel was doing Meth with his girlfriend while cheating on his wife, considering what it turns out what she was involved with when arrested. Methinks YES! He should have resigned and never been heard from again.
