Jogger hit by passing car in Little Rock dies

A man who was struck by a passing car while jogging Monday morning in Little Rock has died.

Little Rock Police Department Lt. Sidney Allen said 76-year-old Barry Livingston died Tuesday night.

Another jogger found Livingston unconscious in the 100 block of North Hughes Street about 6 a.m.

He was taken to CHI St. Vincent in Little Rock, where he was initially said to be in critical condition with a severe head injury and a broken leg. The time of Livingston's death wasn't immediately clear.

Police believe Livingston, who lived nearby at 217 Auburn Drive, was running in the area when he was hit.

No arrests have been made, Allen said. Those with information about the accident are asked to contact investigators at (501) 918-5105.
