A man was shot with a stun gun by North Little Rock police officers and arrested Tuesday after threatening to kill his girlfriend and her children, according to an arrest report.

Officers responded about 3:06 a.m. to a home in the 1200 block of West 48th Street. Gregory Hardin had tried to enter the residence, where his girlfriend of six months lives, by pushing in windows, according to the report.

Hardin, 51, refused officers' commands and acted aggressively before being stunned, according to police. A five-second shock wasn't enough to take down Hardin, who stands 6-foot-1 and weighs 325 pounds. He "just doubled over and fought through the cycle," the report says.

Hardin was arrested after being shocked a second time. Officers reported finding two baggies of methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe in his pockets.

Hardin's girlfriend, Sherry Potter, had called police earlier after Hardin purportedly threatened her on the phone. Hardin told her he was going to shoot her, cut her throat and kill her children and everyone she loves, according to the report.

Potter also told police that Hardin has hit her in the past.

Hardin was charged with third-degree assault on a family or household member, second-degree terroristic threatening, refusal to submit to arrest, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was being held in the Pulaski County jail in lieu of bond late Tuesday.

Stolen car found; 1 held after chase

A man driving a stolen car led police on a chase before North Little Rock officers found him hiding in a nearby wooded area Tuesday, according to an arrest report.

Officers spotted a car moving left of the centerline and put on their emergency lights. The car, which officers confirmed as stolen in Little Rock, accelerated and crashed at 1500 Allen St., the report stated.

The occupants then fled on foot.

Officers found Jalen Davis, 19, hiding in the woods with the driver's key and a small bag of marijuana. Officers also recovered two guns inside the car, both with serial numbers etched off.

The report did not state how many occupants were in the car. No other arrests were made late Tuesday night.

Davis was charged with refusal to submit to arrest, theft by receiving, fleeing, possession of a defaced firearm, carrying certain prohibited weapons and possession of a controlled substance Schedule I and II. He was also charged with two additional counts of failure to appear.

Davis was being held in Pulaski County jail late Tuesday night in lieu of bond.
