A man spit at Jacksonville police officers, damaged a police car and was placed in leg restraints after officers picked him up Tuesday on a shoplifting report at a Wal-Mart, reports said.

An officer responded to a shoplifting call from Wal-Mart at 2000 John Harden Drive in Jacksonville, according to an arrest report. Police said Krishaad Reynolds, 20, fled behind Wal-Mart into the neighborhood, where the officer found him. Reynolds reportedly gave a false name and date of birth, but the officer confirmed Reynolds' identity with one of his family members.

Another officer joined to assist when Reynolds repeatedly tried to pull away, so the officers placed him on the side of the car, the report stated. Reynolds continued shouting obscenities and spitting at officers, forcing them to take Reynolds to the ground to calm him down, reports said.

When officers placed him in the patrol car, he dented the rear driver's side, reports said, and he was eventually placed in leg restraints.

As of Wednesday evening, Reynolds was being held in the Pulaski County jail on charges of aggravated assault upon an employee of a correctional facility, theft of property, obstructing governmental operations, resisting arrest, second-degree criminal mischief and a parole warrant.

Deputies were dispatched to 4024 Oak Grove Road in North Little Rock about 7:09 p.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report. A resident called to report that a red Dodge pickup was in the driveway of his neighbors' house, and they were out of town.

Christopher Wright, 34, was sitting in the truck and told the officers that he was looking at the house because it was for sale. A background check revealed that Wright was wanted on a Marion County warrant.

Wright then informed the officers that he had a shotgun in the front seat of his car. The gun was reported stolen in Perry County, reports state.

After Wright was placed into custody, officers found an additional six shotguns covered in the back of his truck and four medicine bottles with names other than Wright's, reports said. The guns and the medicine matched the description of property stolen earlier that day at 5707 James St. in North Little Rock, reports said.

Officers found that the door of the residence at 4024 Oak Grove was open, but could not contact the owners to determine if anything was stolen.

Wright was arrested on charges of residential burglary and theft by receiving.
