Wacky vessels will sink or float at the Championship Cardboard Boat Races in Heber Springs,10 a.m. Saturday. Prizes include the Captain’s Award for most creative team and boat, Pride of Fleet Award and the Titanic Award for most dramatic sinking. 2 FRUIT

Juicy fruit with fuzzy skins are all the rage at the Johnson County Peach Festival in Clarksville. While the festival officially begins today, most events are scheduled for Friday and Saturday. Look for fishing and diaper derbies, a car show, greased pig chase and peach-related activities such as the peach cobbler bake-off, the pie-eating contest and the peach pit spitting contest. 3 FERMENT

Grapes will be stomped, fermented and sipped at the Altus Grape Festival, 5-11 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Saturday. The MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History invites the public to check out a collection of vehicles from World War I through Desert Storm (including a 1915 Dodge Brothers touring car used by Gen.
