Judge revokes El Dorado man's probation

EL DORADO — An El Dorado man is heading back to prison for up to 10 years after police say he violated his probation.

The El Dorado News-Times reported that 21-year-old Cedric Kyron Jones was sentenced Thursday in Union County Circuit Court.

Jones was convicted of criminal mischief in 2011 for trying to break a car window in a church parking lot to steal a purse.

One term of his probation was that he not commit another crime. But police say he has been charged with second-degree sexual assault on a child stemming from a June 2012 incident.

And in February of this year, a woman told police Jones and two other men pointed guns at her and another person while they sat on a porch and then fired shots from a car in their direction.
