Where I live: I live in the Plaza Heights neighborhood of Little Rock with Maggie, my mixed-breed rescued dog, and cats Carl and Dash, who were rescued from a trailer park during Hurricane Katrina.

Occupation: I am the executive director of the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance, the umbrella organization for a number of food relief groups, food banks and pantries.

My favorite space: My pingpong room.

Why? I was the pingpong champ in college. Until last year I was so busy, I rarely played. Things changed after I was diagnosed with breast cancer and started spending a lot more time at home. My niece and great-nephew would come over and play while I watched. If I felt up to it, I would join the game. It's my favorite space because that's where I spend time in my home with people I love. My political campaign button collection is on display, including my very first button -- a button for supporting JFK. I was his self-appointed campaign chairman for my sixth-grade class.

If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: I'd have better trained pets so they could watch and participate in the fun. They like to be where the action is, but our games are too competitive for them to be roaming around.
