Stolen steaks, ribs lead to man's arrest

A Little Rock man was arrested Saturday on accusations that he broke into a Save-a-Lot and stole eight to 12 packages of raw steaks and pork ribs, according to an arrest report.

Police responded to Save-a-Lot, 2630 Pike Ave. in North Little Rock, about 1:30 a.m. Friday and found the store's front glass door broken, according to an arrest report. A witness to the break-in gave police a description of the suspect's getaway car.

Raymond Avery, 57, was arrested on a charge of commercial burglary after police stopped a car matching the description.

The driver, Wesley Grant, 47, of North Little Rock was also arrested on a charge of commercial burglary after admitting to police that he knew about Avery's intentions, according to an arrest report.

Avery and Grant both remained on the Pulaski County jail's roster Saturday night. Their bail had not been set.

Carwash machine target of burglary

A Little Rock man was arrested Saturday after the owner of a carwash reported that his coin-operated machine was being broken into, according to police.

Officers responded to Mr. Sparkle Car Wash, 10900 Stagecoach Road, and found one coin-operated machine had been broken into and another was damaged, according to an arrest report. The suspect fled when he saw police.

Albert Fish, 50, was arrested after a brief foot chase and booked into the Pulaski County jail on charges of commercial burglary, criminal mischief, breaking and entering, and fleeing. His bail was set at $16,500, and he had a parole hold placed on his custody. He remained on the jail's roster Saturday night.

Search finds drugs in NLR; 2 charged

Two people were arrested Friday on multiple felony drug charges after police searched their residence, according to police.

Police executed a search warrant Friday morning at Hemlock Courts, 400 N. Palm St. in North Little Rock, where Terry Lynn Hart and Laporshia Dedman, both 24, resided. According to arrest reports, officers found individually packaged baggies of cocaine and marijuana, as well as hydrocodone, methadone and black digital scales.

Hart and Dedman were arrested about 6 a.m. Friday and booked into the Pulaski County jail with the following charges: possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a drug premises near a drug-free zone and possession of controlled substances. Their bails were set at $40,000 each.

Hart, also charged with violating probation and two counts of failure to pay fines, remained on the jail's roster Saturday night.
