No arrest made in PB party shooting

PINE BLUFF -- Pine Bluff police are investigating a weekend shooting that left one person dead and three others injured at a neighborhood block party.

Police are questioning a possible suspect, but no arrests have been made.

Cedric Ginger, 21, of Sheridan, was pronounced dead at 12:27 a.m. Sunday at a local hospital.

Those with wounds that weren't life-threatening were the victim's father, Leroy Ginger, 46, of Sheridan; his uncle, Kevin Ginger, 36, also of Sheridan; and Eric Briggs, 40, of Star City.

The motive in the shooting is still under investigation, police said Monday.

The shooting happened at the corner of Third Avenue and Redbud Street about 11:30 p.m. Saturday, police said in a news release. The victims were at a neighborhood reunion, and a large number of people were present in a grassy lot when shots were fired.
