Garland County man charged in Benton vehicle break-ins

Authorities have accused a Garland County man of multiple vehicle break-ins and thefts in Benton, according to a statement Wednesday from the Benton Police Department.

Devin Weston, 30, has been charged with 12 counts of breaking or entering and four counts of theft of property in a string vehicle break-ins that were reported in April.

The Benton Police Department said it took 12 reports of vehicle break-ins on April 21 around Millbrook Drive and the Heritage Farms neighborhood.

Benton Police Lt. Kevin Russell said the break-ins occurred in the overnight hours.

Potential evidence was taken from the vehicles and submitted to the state Crime Laboratory in Little Rock for processing and evaluation. Weston was developed as a potential suspect in the thefts and break-ins based on that evidence, police said.

Weston is being held at the Garland County jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond with holds from the Benton Police Department.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges could be forthcoming, according to police.
