Police: 3 weapons stolen from Pine Bluff pawn shop

The Pine Bluff Police Department is searching for five people who purportedly burglarized a pawn shop early Monday morning.

Pine Bluff Police Department spokesman Richard Wegner said five people, whom police did not describe, broke into the Pawn City pawn shop at 400 East Harding Ave. between 4 and 4:34 a.m.

Based on surveillance footage, two of the burglars entered the store, then left and returned within a few minutes with a sledge hammer, Wegner said. The sledge hammer was used to break locks that protected weapons within the store.

Three AR-15 rifles were stolen during the burglary.

Information about this burglary can be reported to the detective division at (870) 730-2090 or dispatch at (870) 541-5300.
