Three shot in Little Rock; police investigate

Three men were shot Tuesday night in Little Rock in what one witness indicated may be a gang-related crime, according to a police.

Little Rock police say the victims, ages 43, 35, and 22, were all stable at Little Rock hospitals with injuries not believed to be life-threatening, though doctors were concerned about one victim whose spine was hit.

Police said all three victims' injuries were "consistent with birdshot from a shotgun."

Authorities responded about 11 p.m. to the area around the 6900 block of Colonel Glenn Road.

The 43-year-old victim, who was found first in front of a nearby business and had injuries in his leg, arm and hand, reportedly told investigators he was standing outside a gas station across the street "and was shot out of nowhere."

The 35-year-old victim then approached officers and said he too had been shot. That victim said two black men wearing white T-shirts exited the gas station and "started shooting at him as soon as they got outside," the report said.

The third victim was found on a gas station lot. He said he was "suddenly shot" and didn't see who did it.

A witness who did not provide police his identity said the 22-year-old victim and the shooter may have been members of rival gangs.

"Investigators will look into the unidentified witness statement," police Lt. Sidney Allen said in a statement.

No arrests have been made.
