Change of command planned at air base

JACKSONVILLE — A change-of-command ceremony is planned at the Little Rock Air Force Base in Jacksonville for a new leader of the 314th Airlift Wing.

A ceremony is planned for Thursday as Col. James Dryjanski takes over as leader of the 314th. Previously, Dryjanski served as commander of the 387th Air Expeditionary Group in southwest Asia.

The 314th Airlift Wing includes 1,200 military members and civilians and partners with other units to train more than 1,800 students annually in the Department of Defense's largest international flight training program.

Dryjanski takes over for Col. Edward "Scott" Brewer, who is heading to a U.S. Air Force job in Washington.
