The Little Rock Christian Academy student competing in the Jeopardy! Teen Tournament will enter the second day of the final round with only $200.

Cooper Lair, 16, on Thursday trailed going into the final question of the first half with both of his fellow competitors $12,000 ahead of him. When the final category popped up, “Best-Selling Books,” Lair bet nearly all of his $5,600. However, the answer stumped Lair and he ended up writing a question mark instead of a question, losing $5,400.

Lair will have a chance to redeem himself on Friday in the second round of the Jeopardy! finals.

Lair held a watch party Tuesday at Jim's Razorback Pizza in Little Rock for the airing of the semifinals. Another watch party will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the restaurant.
