HARRIMAN, Tenn. — Authorities say two of the four people in a car that was struck by a train in Roane County are in critical condition.
The other two died in the accident that occurred Friday evening in Harriman. They were 22-year-old Roderick Patrick Drummond, of Greenville, South Carolina, and 18-year-old Jadah Gallaher, of Harriman.
The survivors were 20-year-old Darius Gallaher — Jadah's brother — and 20-year-old Hunter Crass, both of Harriman. According to WBIR-TV (http://on.wbir.com/1lZvSg0), both are listed in critical condition at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
A preliminary report states the vehicle driven by Darius Gallaher was heading westbound when it attempted to cross a railroad crossing and was struck by the train.
The television station reports that Drummond and Darius Gallaher played on the men's basketball team at Roane State Community College, and that Jadah Gallaher was on the women's team.
