Monday is the last filing day for Faulkner County residents seeking unemployment assistance after April's deadly storms.
Faulkner County was declared a disaster area two days after an EF4 tornado hit, allowing residents who would not normally qualify for unemployment aid to receive benefits funded through the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
In order to qualify for benefits, people must have become unemployed, been unable to reach their place of work or been sick or injured because of the storms. Someone who became the head of a household after a relative's death may qualify.
Those who want to file may visit their local Department of Workforce Seervices offices, go online to disasterassitance.gov or call (800) 621-3362
