WARREN — The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality has awarded a $23,750 grant to Bradley County.
The grant announced Tuesday is part of the department's Reduce Emissions from Diesels Program.
The county will use the money to replace an older trash collection truck with a new vehicle that has a more efficient diesel engine and produces fewer pollutants.
The program is also known as the "GoRED!" Program and provides grants to eligible entities for replacement or retrofitting of diesel engines, resulting in the reduction of engine emissions.
