Bridge repairs will require an Interstate 40 lane closure Thursday in Prairie County, state highway officials said.

Crews working under the Hazen interchange overpass will close the westbound, outside lane of I-40 between mile markers 197 and 199, near the White River Bridge, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, weather permitting, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said.

Traffic will be controlled with barrels and warning signs, and drivers should pass through the area with caution, highway officials added.
