Arkansas pitcher Chris Oliver has been arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated, two days after the Razorbacks were eliminated from the NCAA tournament.
Oliver was stopped by Fayetteville police early Tuesday morning on accusations he made an illegal turn near the university. According to a preliminary police report, the right-handed pitcher, who earned the Razorbacks' win against Liberty on Friday, had a blood-alcohol level of 0.09 percent.
The Razorbacks were eliminated by Virginia on Sunday.
The junior was 9-4 with a 2.51 ERA in 16 starts for Arkansas this season. He was released from the Washington County jail at 6:26 a.m. on $1,075 bond and has a July 11 court date.
Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn said he is disappointed and "that type of behavior is certainly not accepted."

0.09 is not really "intoxicated" but he still should have had someone else behind the wheel. Fayetteburg police love arresting UofA students. Had it been John Doe student this would have never made the newspaper.

Levyrat,
I agree. It appears that he is standing up for the picture. How drunk could he be?
