Pomodoro: Fat, juicy fruit is on the menu for the annual Bradley County Pink Tomato Festival, June 12-14 in downtown Warren. This year’s musical headliners are Slik.Nickel and Ricky Skaggs and the Kentucky Thunder. There will also be shopping, crafts, pageants, a parade and a carnival but the big story is usually the tomatoes, with plenty to eat. General admission is free. Pomp: Fireworks will explode and music will soar as central Arkansas celebrates the nation’s birthday at Pops on the River, presented by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, on July 4. Festivities begin at noon with children’s activities, a car show, food trucks and shopping. Music performers will include the Air National Guard Band and the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, and a fireworks display closes it at 9:30 p.m. Admission is free. Call (501) 378-3807.
