The 18-year-old started 2014 by winning MTV VMA's "Artist to Watch" award and MTV EMA awards for "Best Push Artist" and "Artist on the Rise." Back in January, he also released a single "Mmm Yeah" featuring Pitbull.

But that's old news now to his dedicated fans, dubbed Mahomies. The latest scoop? Just last week, he released his first EP, The Secret, with eight tracks.

"The reception to it has been pretty good," Mahone says. "Everyone seems to be enjoying it and that's all that really matters."

And the publicity has followed, with him appearing on NBC's Today show and having previously been featured on Live! With Kelly & Michael, Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, E!News, Extra, The Insider, VH1, MTV and in print in Details magazine, Entertainment Weekly and the Wall Street Journal.

His previous hit singles, "What About Love" and "Banga! Banga!" have together garnered more than 55 million views on YouTube and can be heard on radio stations around the nation.

After Mahone's stop in Hot Springs, he is scheduled to perform 30 other concerts around the United States and Canada.

Afterward, he will work on his first full album, set for release in late 2014.

His long-range plans (including continuing to make music): "I want to put out my album and I hope to win as many awards as possible and just be the best that I can be."
