Man shoots great-uncle in leg during altercation, police say

A 23-year-old Little Rock man shot his great-uncle in the leg during an altercation Wednesday, police said.

Arrest records show Anthony Bell was arrested at 3:50 p.m. at his home in the 2200 block of South Ringo Street on a charge of second-degree domestic battery.

Bell remained in the Pulaski County jail Thursday morning with bail not yet set.

According to a Little Rock Police Department arrest report, Bell and his 54-year-old great-uncle "got into an altercation" when Bell "pulled out a small handgun and shot at him, striking him in the right lower leg area."

The report did not include information on the severity of the injury, and the victim's condition Thursday wasn't known.
