Pine Bluff police officers are seeking the public’s help in finding a man accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend and an acquaintance on Tuesday.
A Pine Bluff Police Department report states that Anthony Simmons, 38, of Pine Bluff threatened Tajuanna Evans, 36, and Corey Richmond, 39, with a firearm in the employee parking lot of Stant Manufacturing, 5300 Jefferson Parkway in Pine Bluff, on Tuesday morning.
Evans and Richmond were sitting in Evans' car at Stant shortly before 6:30 a.m., when Simmons pulled up in a red truck and began to yell at them.
Evans told police she heard Simmons say "I got something for y'all's a**" before he walked to his truck and came back with a black 9mm handgun, which he pointed at her and Richmond, according to the report.
Richmond left the scene in his own vehicle, and Simmons followed him to the Exxon gas station on Dollarway Road.
Evans said she followed Richmond to the gas station as well and warned him that Simmons was behind him, the report states. She then got back in her vehicle and left.
Simmons then followed Evans, and at one point he stopped in the middle of the road and pointed the gun at her again before leaving, the report states.
Simmons is a black man, about 6 feet tall with a slender build, police said.
He should be considered armed, and anyone coming into contact with him should call the police, authorities said.
Information about Simmons’ whereabouts can be reported by calling the Pine Bluff Police Department dispatch center at (870) 541-5300 or the detective division at (870) 730-2090.
