Looking for Sasquatch

HOT SPRINGS — Children are invited to join former park interpreter and garden education director Megan Bradshaw for a summer-night hike from 8-9:30 at Garvan Woodland Gardens. Participants will look for Sasquatch in the Mystic Creatures exhibit and guess the colors of flowers and foliage by moonlight, as well as learn about night creatures such as raccoons, owls and foxes and how they see in the dark. The cost is $15 per child, and children must be accompanied by an adult. One adult per child will be admitted free. Snacks and a take-home project are included. The hike is limited to 15 children. Women’s Beginner Firearms Class

HOT SPRINGS — The Mountain Valley Sportsmans Association will offer a women’s beginner class for firearms at 9 a.m. at 320 Ten Mile Road. The class will focus on all facets of firearm safety and will give participants an opportunity to handle a variety of firearms.
