EL DORADO — Authorities say an El Dorado man has been shot to death.
The El Dorado News-Times reported that police responded early Thursday morning to a report of a shooting at a business. Once inside, authorities said. they found 38-year-old Lawrence E. Nelson Jr. with multiple gunshot wounds. The Union County Coroner pronounced him dead a short time later.
A 34-year-old California man, Destin S. Reed, was arrested on felony charges, including first-degree murder. He is scheduled to make a court appearance Friday.
El Dorado Police Department spokesman Capt. Kevin Holt said authorities have not established a motive in the shooting.
