The daughter of a Batesville woman found dead Wednesday has been charged with murder.
Jerrie Lyn Acklin, 40, on Friday was charged with first-degree murder in the death of her mother, Linda Stingley, of Batesville, according to a statement from the Independence County sheriff’s office. Stingley's body was found in a rural wooded area of Malvern on Wednesday.
Acklin is in the Independence County jail and her bond is set at $500,000.
