Lottery officials tout rising jackpots

The Powerball Jackpot, the Mega Millions Jackpot and the Natural State Jackpot didn’t have any top prize winners over the weekend, so this is the week for Arkansans to try their hands at winning, officials said Monday.

The $221 million Powerball jackpot had no top prize winner Saturday, officials said, although the drawing did produce smaller winners. There were 4,727 prize-winning tickets sold in the state for the Powerball jackpot. The next Powerball jackpot is estimated at $257 million.

Friday’s $45 million Mega Millions jackpot also didn’t have a top prize winner, but had 5,622 winning tickets sold. The next jackpot is estimated at $55 million.

The $130,000 Natural State Jackpot drawing held Saturday night had no top prize winner, but 3,007 people won smaller prizes. The drawing is held Monday through Saturday at 8 p.m. The next Natural State Jackpot will be worth $135,000.

In all three of the games, there were 14 Arkansans who were as few as one number away from winning the jackpot, officials said.
