Little Rock police are still searching for the committed the robbery of an Iberia Bank branch about six weeks ago.

The Iberia Bank branch at 6420 S. University Ave. was robbed about 3:30 p.m. June 10, Little Rock Police Department Lt. Sidney Allen said. The robber — who was described as a white man in his 40s, standing about 5 foot 11 inches or 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds — demanded money from a teller then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Allen said the robber did not indicate to the tellers that he had a weapon.

Little Rock Police Department Sgt. Cassandra Davis said Tuesday that the robber was possibly driving a dark gray 2002-’05 Mitsubishi Lancer with no tinted windows and a missing front-passenger hubcap. Police are still looking to identify him.

Little Rock police are investigating a bank robbery Tuesday afternoon.

The Iberia Bank branch located at 6420 S. University Ave. was robbed about 3:30 p.m., Little Rock Police Department Lt. Sidney Allen said in an email. The robber — who was described as a white man in his late 30s to early 40s, standing about 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds — demanded money from a teller then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Allen said the robber did not indicate to the tellers that he had a weapon at the time of the robbery.

The area surrounding the bank is being searched with dogs, Allen said. The robber has not been taken into custody.
