Thirty students from the University of Texas who are on a 4,000-mile bicycle ride for cancer research are to stop at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
The riders are to arrive at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute.
The ride, called the Texas 4000, is billed as the longest charitable bike ride.
The event will mark the second year the Texas 4000 riders stopped at UAMS.
Organizers say the students raise money not only for cancer research but also for patient support services. En route, they visit cancer treatment centers around the country.
