Woman jailed in North Little Rock stabbing

A North Little Rock woman is accused of stabbing another woman during an altercation early Thursday morning.

Zaundra Owens, 40, was arrested on charges of second-degree domestic battery and violation of a protection order. She remained in the Pulaski County jail later Thursday morning with bail not yet set.

According to a North Little Rock police arrest report, officers found the victim outside her apartment in the 2600 block of John Ashley Drive bleeding from her left arm, neck and head. She reported Owens had showed up at her front door, "started a physical confrontation" and then "stabbed her numerous times," the report said.

The victim's condition wasn't clear, but police wrote in the report that the stab wounds "appeared serious in nature."

Owens was found in the apartment and arrested. Police say she declined medical attention for an apparent stab wound in her left arm before being booked into the jail.
