Drillers slip past Travelers

Jose Rivera's run-scoring double in the seventh inning lifted the Tulsa Drillers to a 2-1 victory over the Arkansas Travelers before an announced crowd of 8,738 at ONEOK Field in Tulsa.

The Drillers started their rally after reliever Buddy Boshers retired the first two batters in the bottom of the seventh. Boshers replaced Orangels Arena to start the seventh.

Jose Gonzalez doubled to right-center off Boshers (0-3), and Gonzalez scored on Rivera's double down the right-field line.

The Travelers tied the game at 1-1 in the top of the seventh when Kaleb Cowart doubled to left-center field to score Jett Bandy, who singled earlier in the inning.

The Drillers took a 1-0 lead in the second when Gonzalez, who went 3 for 3, singled to left to score Jayson Langfels.

Arenas allowed 1 run on 6 hits in 6 innings while throwing 70 pitches before being replaced by Boshers, who took the loss.

Ryan Arrowood (5-0) picked up the victory for Tulsa despite allowing the tying run in the top of the seventh. Arrowood allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2 1/3 innings in relief of starter Tyler Anderson, who didn't allow a run. Anderson yielded three hits in 5 2/3 innings on 82 pitches.

Cole White earned his third save a scoreless ninth.
