Benton police are looking for two people after a Monday afternoon bank robbery.

About 4:16 p.m., police responded to a robbery report at Malvern National Bank, located at 1111 Military Road, Benton police said in a statement.

Police said a man and a woman entered the bank and demanded money from a teller after displaying a pistol. The couple then fled on foot toward Ferguson Drive after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash.

The male robber, described only as white, wore a mask "that resembled the 'Mario Brothers' video game character" during the robbery, police said. The female robber, also described as white, wore dark sunglasses.

Those with additional information about the robbery are asked to contact the Benton Police Department at (501) 778-1171.
