A Bauxite man has been charged with first-degree murder in the Tuesday death of a 22-year-old.
Saline County deputies were dispatched Tuesday to 16925 E. Miller Sardis Road in Bauxite, where they met with Abel Enriquez, 65, who told them that he heard a crash and found his friend Anthony Ballentine, 22, of Bauxite, dead at the home, Saline County sheriff’s office spokesman Lt. Scottie Courtney said in a statement.
Enriquez was booked in to the Saline County jail shortly before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of first-degree murder, and bail has not yet been set, Courtney said.
The investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
