Final 3 'Shaw-Crank Redemption' defendants sentenced

The final three defendents arrested as a result of an investigation dubbed "Operation Shaw-Crank Redemption" have been sentenced to a combined total of 207 months, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney Conner Eldridge.

The investigation into a drug ring headed by Gerardo "Tio" Gamboa led to 49 arrests and prosecutions and the seizure of 22 pounds of meth, 10 guns, $5,000 in cash and vehicles valued at $25,000.

According to the news release, the final three sentences in the operation were:

  • Phillip Knox, 47, of Fort Smith — 120 months in prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine
  • Jamie Ramos, 27, of Alma — 41 months in prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine
  • Leslie Kaelin, 34, of Fort Smith — 46 months in prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine
