Booneville woman killed in hit-and-run

A Booneville woman was fatally struck Tuesday night by a vehicle that then fled the scene, authorities said.

Arkansas State Police are asking anyone with information about the hit-and-run to call authorities.

Investigators say 50-year-old Joy Duvall was hit by a northbound vehicle about 9:50 p.m. as she was walking south on the northbound shoulder of Arkansas 23 a half mile south of Arkansas 10 in Booneville. She died at the scene.

Police questioned residents in the area but did not identify the vehicle or the driver.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Arkansas State Police post in Fort Smith, (479) 783-5195.
